What this page covers
This page explains the cookies and similar storage Fitbodyjourney uses on fitbodyjourney.life. It should be read with the privacy notice. We keep this short and specific: two cookies, a local storage key that mirrors one of them, and a map that is not our cookie.
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Some cookies are essential to remember a choice you just made. Others watch you across sites. We do not set advertising cookies. We do not set analytics cookies before you decide, and we do not set them after you decline. If you accept, we still do not add a marketing pixel. The accept button records the choice; it does not open a door to a third-party ad network.
The two cookies
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| fbj_consent | Stores whether you chose Accept or Decline on the cookie notice, so we can hide the banner on later visits to this browser. | 6 months |
| Session cookie (name may vary, often PHPSESSID) | A short-lived technical cookie the server may issue to keep a browsing session stable. It is not used to advertise, and it is not a profile of your training. | Session (it expires when you close the browser, or shortly after) |
The banner and how a choice is stored
The banner on each page is visible until you choose. We do not hide it with CSS in advance. JavaScript reads a local storage key named fbj_consent. If that key exists, the banner is hidden. When you press Accept or Decline, we write that same value to local storage and we set the fbj_consent cookie for six months with a SameSite Lax flag so it is not used as a cross-site tracker. Only the data-cookie buttons on the banner write this choice.
If you press Decline, we still remember that you declined, using the same cookie and local storage. That memory is the point: otherwise the banner would return on every page load and you would have to fight it. Decline means we do not add extra cookies. It does not wipe the choice itself. The session cookie may still appear if the server needs a short technical session; it is not an advertising tool.
How to withdraw your choice
You can withdraw consent, or clear a decline, by deleting site data for fitbodyjourney.life in your browser settings, or by clearing cookies and local storage for this origin. After that, the banner returns on the next visit and nothing else is set until you choose again. Blocking cookies entirely in your browser will also prevent fbj_consent from being stored; the banner may then keep appearing, which is expected.
What we do not set
We do not set cookies from advertising networks. We do not embed social-media share pixels. The contact page includes a Google Maps iframe. That iframe is loaded from maps.google.com and may set cookies under Google's own policies when you view the map. That is their technology, not a Fitbodyjourney tracker. If you do not want that, do not load the contact page map; the address, telephone and e-mail are printed next to it.
Google Fonts are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com so the headings render in Bricolage Grotesque and the body in Inter. Those requests may allow Google to see your IP address. They are not a Fitbodyjourney analytics cookie. If you block third-party fonts, the site still works in your system typeface.
E-mails you send through the form are not cookies. They are handled as described in the privacy notice, kept for twelve months, then deleted. Payment, if you join, happens under the membership agreement, not through a card field on this website.
